Clinical research mandatory training
At Grampians Health, research is embedded in everything we do. We are committed to fostering an environment where research and innovation are recognised, valued, and applied to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Our goal is to support a strong research culture – one where staff are empowered to conduct high-quality, health-service-relevant research, and where ethical standards and good governance guide every project.
Education and training
Education and training are foundational to a productive research ecosystem. They support ethical conduct, compliance, quality, safety collaboration and trust in the research that we undertake to help our communities.
To uphold these standards, all staff involved in human research at Grampians Health are required to complete ICH Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) training.
Additional training requirements also apply to staff undertaking clinical trials at Grampians Health
From 1 May 2024 staff involved in clinical trials must present certificates of completion for the following training courses.
Important Note for Clinical Trial Staff
Completion of the A-CTEC course packages includes ICH GCP certification, so separate certification is not needed. However, ICH GCP certification must be renewed every three years, while the A-CTEC course package only needs to be completed once.
